The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) has released a Frequently Asked Questions memorandum covering MCL: 380.1280f, the Third Grade Reading Law. The memorandum is designed to provide guidance to public school districts, public school academies (PSAs) and intermediate school districts (ISDs) around the requirements of the new law, with its first implementation provisions scheduled to kick in for the 2017-18 school year.
