The Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) are offering an opportunity to recognize the extraordinary contribution of your staff and highlight innovative programming in your school district by submitting your nomination for MSBO’s School Business Official of the Year or Meridian Award of Excellence.
It’s important to share your good news about the great things happening in your school district and celebrate the individuals who are so crucial in making sure that Michigan’s students receive an education that prepares them for the 21st Century.

- MSBO School Business Official of The Year: recognizes an individual’s service to a school district, the profession and colleagues
- Meridian Award of Excellence: acknowledges successful practices in all areas of school management
MSBO also offers two scholarships, which encourage and recognize individuals currently employed in school business who are improving their technical skills and competencies by pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. The Mark & Kay Stebbins Scholarship ($2,000) recognizes members pursuing an undergraduate degree. The Wally Piper Scholarship ($2,500) recognizes members pursuing a graduate degree.
