The U.S. Department of Education gave its stamp of approval to Michigan’s ESSA plan in late November. Part of Michigan’s plan requires that every school must conduct a Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) to thoroughly examine resources and data, find their school’s needs and gaps, and develop a School Improvement Plan.
Where can I find help with CNA development?
MASA is sponsoring a three-part series of regional Comprehensive Needs Assessment Workshops to help schools and districts create their own CNAs. Attendees will participate in learning, planning, and action sessions featuring tips to help school improvement teams find success in their school improvement process and the resources used for ease of getting started through completion of their CNA to avoid the hurry-up push in June. Additionally, these workshops will give you the opportunity to better understand and build on your student data to drive positive student growth in your district.
Who should attend?
