MASA and MSBO are partnering on a one-day workshop on Feb. 26 that is designed for teams of superintendents and their CFOs to collaboratively learn best practices for finance and operations. The workshop, “Developing Successful Structures for District Business & Operations,” will engage attendees in open discussion. Each participating district is encouraged to bring their toughest issues to this forum for both presentation and problem-solving activities scheduled during each session.

  • School Finance Presentations and Participant Networking
  • Facilities and Transportation Best Practices
  • Successful Business Outsourcing Options

This event will feature presentations from Donald Sovey, CPA, CFO, School and Municipal Advisory Services; Scott Little, Michigan School Business Officials; Todd Surline, Hiring Solutions; and Heather Menzies, Licensed Health Insurance Counselor, SET SEG.

The drive-in conference will be held on Monday, February 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the MASA/MSBO Conference Room at the MASA office building located at 1001 Centennial Way, Lansing, MI 48917. The cost is $175 per person; lunch will be provided.
