From May 1 to May 15, MASA members will have the opportunity to vote for a new member of the MASA Executive Board. The winner will fill a three-year position that starts on July 1, 2018.
The three candidates vying for the MASA Executive Board term are listed below. Click on the candidate’s name to read the Personal Data Sheet each submitted to become a candidate.

- John Krimmel, Airport Community Schools
- John Prescott, Bellevue Community Schools
An electronic ballot will be sent to members on or before May 1, and all votes must be cast no later than May 15. According to the MASA Constitution:
On or before July 1, the Executive Director and/or the Board President shall officially certify and announce the results of the election. The member who receives the larger number of votes on the final ballot shall be declared elected. In the event of a tie vote, there shall be a run-off election conducted by the Executive Director. The candidate receiving a majority of these votes shall be declared elected. In the event of a tie in the final balloting, the candidates involved may agree to a drawing of lots or the Executive Director may direct a run-off election conducted by e-mail. On or before July 1, the Executive Director shall certify the names of the persons elected, and they shall take office on July 1.
