In addition to a new governor, secretary of state, attorney general, 30 new Senate members and dozens of new members of the Michigan House of Representatives, Michigan will elect two members to the State Board of Education. The Board that will be sworn in January 2019 will be responsible for selecting the next state superintendent and setting the agenda for education in Michigan for years to come.

Join the Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators and the Michigan Association of School Boards for a forum with State Board of Education candidates from the state’s major parties.

This event is free for attendees. If you cannot make it to East Lansing, the forum will be webcast.

Space is limited and registration is required for both in-person attendance and viewing the webcast.

How to register for the State Board of Education Candidate Forum

If you do not yet have an MASA event account, you must create one in order to register for this event. Follow the instructions below to create an account and register.
