The SUPES Academy is a comprehensive leadership development experience brought to you by the Michigan Leadership Institute that prepares individuals who will be the next “class” of superintendent candidates

The Academy will be held over four two-day sessions, beginning at noon the first day through 5 p.m. on the second day of each session:

  • August 8-9, DoubleTree Hotel, Bay City
  • September 19-20, DoubleTree Hotel, Bay City
  • October 17-18, DoubleTree Hotel, Bay City
  • November 9-10, DoubleTree Hotel, Bay City

The registration fee for SUPES participants is $1,100, which includes meals and course materials. The Academy will accommodate up to 45 participants. Participants must commit to attending every class session and completing assignments between classes.

Participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements. All other costs are covered through the generosity of foundations and private sector sponsors. Target participants are people with the potential to be outstanding educational leaders who are considering applying for their first superintendency during the coming year or thereafter.
