MASA Mentor Coaching | Michigan Association of School Administrators

Starting in Fall 2017, MASA will offer the new Mentor Coaching program to support superintendents who are in the first three years of the superintendency.

This Mentor Coaching experience will provide multi-tiered support for new superintendents throughout the 2017-18 school year. Each Mentor Coaching pair will work together to identify areas of support for the new superintendent, and customize each coaching experience based on those needs.

Some of our members have years of experience as a superintendent; others are just starting out as leaders in their school districts. MASA’s new Mentor Coaching program aims to pair veterans with new superintendents to help support them in the important work they do.

Mentor coaches wanted

MASA is recruiting current and retired superintendents to sign up to be mentor coaches. Mentor coaches must commit to two days of training, and will receive SCECH credit for it. The training will be in the Lansing area, and there is no cost to attend. To sign up to become a mentor coach, click here.
