MASA members are invited to join Gov. Rick Snyder at a series of town hall meetings next week as he heads across the state on a bus tour before the upcoming election. MASA Executive Director William Mayes will be joining the tour to help inform citizens about the potential impact of six ballot initiatives on Michigan's education system.
In addition to the ballot initiatives being decided on November 6, the Governor will discuss topics of interest to the audience. Gather your board and a team of constituents to hear from the Governor, and learn about potential significant impact to the future of public education in Michigan.
In particular, Proposals 2 and 5 are of great concern to MASA and other education leadership organizations. We stand with the Governor in opposing both measures, and we're working hard to get our word out to the public. For more information, take a look at our coalition website at www.stop2and5.com.
You must RSVP for the town hall events! If you'd like to attend one in your area, please fill out the brief form for each event at the Governor's bus tour's website.
