School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan seeks education leader for its executive board

The School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan (SCHA-MI) Board of Directors is hoping to recruit a new board member from educational leadership of Michigan to serve for a minimum of 2 years beginning in January 2013.

SCHA-MI is a non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the health and educational outcomes of children and youth by advancing and advocating for school-based and school-linked health care. There are approximately 100 centers providing primary, behavioral, and oral health care, and health education to over 200,000 students across Michigan.  Centers are located in areas where access to health care is a challenge in rural, urban and suburban communities.  Research has demonstrated that access to school-based health care improves attendance, graduation, and fosters a safe and supportive school environment.

Please consider applying for an open board position.  Attached please find 3 items to assist in your deliberation.
