Please detail your previous service to the Association and share why you are interested in serving on the MASA Executive Board:

I am interested in serving on the MASA Executive Board to serve our association and to help advance our vision of being the premier association leading change and excellence in Michigan K-12 schools. I currently serve on the MASA Council, as the Vice President for MASA Region 7, and have a deep appreciation and respect for the importance of our voice in steering legislation through lobbying, deepening our partnerships with MDE, US DoE, and other educational service agencies, and amplifying the voice of senior school district administrators across the state.

MASA is uniquely positioned to provide leadership, advice, and counsel as we seek to transform our educational systems. My experience in urban, suburban, rural, and fringe schools has provided a broad perspective on the needs of each type of community in our state. My core work as an administrator has focused on developing continuous improvement models, nurturing partnerships with civic, corporate, and governmental agencies, and improving student outcomes. As such, I can bring a knowledgeable, experienced, and tempered voice to the Executive Board.

I ask for your vote and support and promise to be an effective, approachable, and diligent representative for all school leaders in Michigan on the MASA Executive Board.
