LANSING – Dr. Tina Kerr, executive director of the Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators (MASA), released the following statement today on being named to the Governor’s Protect Michigan Commission:

“I am honored to have been selected to serve on the bipartisan Protect Michigan Commission and to represent MASA members and educators at the state level. As we navigate pandemic learning, it’s important that decisions continue to be made with an eye on the needs of Michigan students, educators, and schools. I look forward to continuing our partnership with Governor Whitmer, her administration, and lawmakers to provide an education lens for this important work.”

The Protect Michigan Commission was created on Dec. 10, 2020 under Executive Order No. 2020-193. More information about the Commission and today’s appointments can be found here.
