Stephanie Long, Ph.D.

Director of Professional Development

Stephanie has been an educator for 37 years, 17 as an administrator, the last five as superintendent. She taught high school English and Psychology before becoming a high school assistant principal, an elementary and secondary school principal, and as an ISD curriculum supervisor and director of professional development in career-tech education. She is passionate about building leadership capacity to ensure high quality teaching and learning and the best-fit educational experience to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

Stephanie earned a Bachelors of Science in Education from Central Michigan University, an Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Michigan State University, an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from University of Michigan – Flint, and completed her Doctorate of Education from University of Michigan – Flint in Educational Leadership in December 2025.
