Description: Amends the Construction of School Buildings Act to allow for the installation of temporary door barricade devices to be installed in school buildings. These devices are defined as an anchoring mechanism installed on the interior side of a door that when engaged secures the door against force entry. It must be portable and not be permanently affixed to the door. School administrators would have to notify local law enforcement and the fire department before installing devices. Staff members working in the building will have to participate in a training.
