Description: Provides for model instructional videos regarding the dangers of prescription opioid drug abuse for implementation in certain curricula. The department of education no later than February 1, 2020, will develop or adopt and make available to all public schools that offer grade 9 a model instructional video regarding the dangers of prescription opioid drug abuse that is appropriate for pupils in grade 9. Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, the board of a school district or board of directors of a public school academy that operates a school that offers grade 9 shall ensure that the model instructional video described is implemented in the grade 9 curriculum of each school.
