MASA’s Quickfire Sessions are intensive, two-hour learning opportunities based on member feedback and designed to provide school leaders with essential updates on critical education-related topics – this particular session will focus on Building Michigan’s Future Graduate Through Competency-Based Learning.
What is all the buzz about Competency-Based Learning? Credits alone no longer tell the full story of student readiness. In this engaging session, we’ll explore how Michigan leaders are working alongside Future Learning Council efforts to define what students should know and be able to do – and how to measure it. Participants will examine how competency-based education can align with district strategic priorities while better preparing students for college, career, and life. Expect real examples, honest challenges, and practical takeaways you can bring back to your district.
Sessions are open to superintendents, central office administrators, and aspiring district leaders.
