MASA’s Quickfire Sessions are intensive, three-hour learning opportunities based on member feedback and designed to provide school leaders with essential updates on critical education-related topics – this particular session will focus on Educator evaluations, the Open Meetings Act (OMA), and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) .
This sessions has been switched to a virtual-only format.
Sessions are open to superintendents, central office administrators, and aspiring district leaders.
Evaluations that drive growth, accountability, and excellence are a top priority for district leaders, ensuring effective and fair assessments across all levels. The changes to the evaluation law that are in effect this year likely require slight adjustments to existing processes. Hear from MASA’s Dr. Shawn Bishop, Matt Schueller, and Hannah Sweeney about the essential changes you need to make sure are in practice.
Attorney Brad Banasik, Legal Counsel at MASB, will join the discussion to share more about evaluations at all levels. Plus, he’ll be providing important insights about the Open Meetings Act (OMA) and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), to help ensure transparency and compliance in your district.
