MASA Impact is a new initiative from the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators (MASA) designed to make a difference in learning communities across the state by addressing specific needs in local districts. With the support from our Strategic Partners and others, MASA hopes to create a ripple effect and make a significant Impact on local districts, administrators, educators, students, and their communities driven by a shared dedication to ensuring student success.
Winter Warmth Totes – November 2024
The initiative officially launched in the Fall of 2024 as the MASA Team, joined by representatives from Capturing Kids’ Hearts, SET SEG, and Trane, delivered 250 Winter Warmth Totes to early childhood and special education students across St. Joseph County ISD. Each reusable tote was packed with cold-weather essentials — hats, scarves, gloves, lip balm, and lotion—to help students stay warm through the winter months.
St. Joseph County ISD was chosen as the first recipient of the MASA Impact initiative after Superintendent Teresa Belote was randomly selected from more than 200 school leaders who entered a drawing at the association’s Fall Conference in September.
