In 2016, the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) released “A Guide for Incorporating Health & Wellness into School Improvement Plans” to provide public health agencies and other education partners with an understanding of improvement plans and their purpose and role in schools and districts.
This guide outlines opportunities to incorporate health and wellness-related goals and aligned activities into the improvement planning process and offers examples from states that have done it.
Section II of this guide was featured in the January 2020 issue of MASA’s Leader Magazine.
Access the full guide through the NACDD website or download it straight from here.
