School ADvance: Administrator Evaluation System for Learning, Growth, and Adaptation

Michigan Districts are shaping new systems and paradigms for performance evaluation. The School ADvance system provides a framework for districts to insure that their performance review systems reflect best practices that will to stimulate learning and improvement. Developed through a partnership between MASA, Michigan ASCD, and Zimco’s Stages Evaluation Management System, School ADvance establishes nine research-supported domains of principal evaluation and developmental rubrics mapped to each domain.

By 2012, MASA, Michigan ASCD and STAGES will release rubrics for central office administrators, including superintendents.
