Completing Horizon Year 1 will earn participants a Central Office Enhancement on their current Administrative Certificate and 60 SCECH credits. Please choose an option below based on the schedule that best fits your needs.
The Horizon Leadership Academy Year 1 focuses on strengthening leadership skills and strategies for superintendents, aspiring superintendents, central office administrators and building administrators.
Course content will focus on:
- How do I lead? How can I improve?
- What is the role of situational leadership?
- How do values and beliefs influence leadership?
- What does it mean to mentor, advise, coach and tell?
- How to use a Fact-Finding strategy to surface successes and barriers?
- How do emotions influence conversations and relationships?
- How can the power of story influence and engage others?
Cost for Year 1:
- MASA member with Administrator Certificate: $3,000
- MASA member without Administrator Certificate: $4,000
- Non-member with Administrator Certificate: $3,300
- Non-member without Administrator Certificate: $4,300
Participants are required to complete Horizon Year 1 before they can register for Horizon Year 2.
