MASA members are the decision makers who help strengthen Michigan’s institutions of public education. They are the superintendents, first-line administrators and central office administrators who work day in and day out to ensure the success of our public schools and our more than 1.5 million students. They are the retirees who have dedicated decades of service to our schoolchildren and our public schools. They are our partners in education at the state level and in the business community who work hard to ensure the success of Michigan’s educators and students.

MASA membership types include:

  • Superintendents
  • First Line Administrators/Central Office Administrators
  • Retirees: MASA members receive a complimentary membership for a year following retirement. Retirees are eligible for low-cost services to help them stay informed and involved.
  •  Associate Members: Other leaders in the education community (MDE, other states, association executives, government, etc.) may apply to be Associate members of MASA.

MASA’s membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. Membership payment is due on or before August 1 of each year.
